Here I sit, back from vacation. Both glad and sad. Glad I dont have to live out of a suitcase anymore thats for sure.

I have very great news! I have been offered a job to illustrate a children's book! Yes indeed, I am really excited. I have read the script and I am going to try out different styles for the two main animal characters, but I cant wait to get started and get the author's approval! The author is a very old friend of my mother's who met me for the first time and she had been looking for an illustrator for her book. She was quite excited too. XD

Other big news:

While on vacation I saw my first rated R movie in theaters. Yes, thats right, Public Enemies. I thought it was great, those times always interest me and it was a cool story. For a while now I am ashamed to say I forgot a little about poor Mr. Depp, but a fancy Vanity Fair magazine and a movie reminded me. There were some great pictures of him in that magazine. I think I like him best without a mustache, he looks younger without it of course, but I just think he looks cuter.
An interesting fact, my grandfather said when he was young, his father would go to the store or some where, like to buy liquor for instance, and he would see the real John Dillinger. Yeah, the real guy. He really blended in to society. But thats cool huh?


I also saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Year One. Transformers was a big disappointment. I really did not like it, the first one was so much better. It seemed to be REALLY long and go on forever and it was too much of the same actiony stuff. Usually action works for a long time, but it didnt for Transformers.
Year One was pretty funny, but Jack Black being Jack Black, not a lot of kid friendly material. But it was funny.

I am pretty far into my Phantom of the Opera book, and I must say it is very good. I love it. Really great.

Not sure if I am forgetting anything or not, but one last tiny note for now, I got Quantum of Solace.
